Teaching Methodology
IL Spanish offers the best language teaching methodology
IL Spanish offers their students high-quality human and technical resources, in addition to the experience we have gained since 2012.
IL Spanish combines different pedagogical techniques, focused on a communicative approach, in order to reach every kind of learner.
As an IL Spanish student, you are also encouraged to develop an intercultural competence with a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will lead you to create positive relationships with the society that surrounds you.
IL Spanish methodology has been developed according to the experience of the many years of expertise and training of each of our team members. In addition, numerous pedagogies have been analyzed to create an effective and tested method.
IL Spanish method has 6 steps:

Real, high-quality materials
To create our materials we have compiled real language samples from different Spanish-speaking countries, used in different contexts in daily professional life and in areas such as tourism, medicine and the environment of human resources, job interviews, personnel selection, etc.
Besides texts and exercises, we use a wide range of additional teaching materials to guarantee high-quality instruction in all areas: speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar and vocabulary. We use games and role-playing to improve communication between students and to inspire their creativity, capacity for association of concepts and reflection as well as their cultural understanding.
TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling): a comprehensible input methodology.
Multiple Intelligences: visual, verbal, logical, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalist – there are many different ways to demonstrate intellectual ability. Consequently, all the eight intelligences will be covered.
Speaking is achieved through games, songs, and stories you will gradually become well acquainted with.
Reading and writing is taught through age-appropriate activities based on familiar materials used in the class.
There will also be an ongoing assessment with constant feedback to the students.
Furthermore, the curriculum for our students of all levels meets the requirements of the Instituto Cervantes, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning.
The best way to learn Spanish
At IL Spanish we know the usual problems our students face while learning a language like Spanish. Usually the classroom courses are held in groups, with little time to focus on the specific problems of each student. There is no real personalized attention.
That is why we have developed a dual method, consisting of one-to-one online classes and self-learning with updated materials designed for our students. You will be supervised by your teacher at all times.
We are convinced that succeeding in a new language is a direct result of close collaboration between the teacher and the student. During the classes, the teacher must always be available to the student as a resource and aid in the student’s daily work.
Our teaching method is based in a communicative approach and the action-oriented learning established by the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). In our lessons you will find a balance of all the skills involved in using a language. Usually our teachers use a mixture of conversation, grammar, reading, writing, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation which help you improve your communication capacity.
